Town of Hawkesbury

The Ombudsman received a complaint that council for the Town of Hawkesbury met in closed session on November 8, 2021, contrary to the Municipal Act, 2001. The Ombudsman found that council was permitted to rely on the closed meeting exception for personal matters about identifiable individuals under section 239(2)(b) of the Act when it met in closed session.
