The Ombudsman reviewed three closed meetings in late 2011 and early 2012 and found that the matter discussed was permitted in a closed meeting.
The Ombudsman reviewed three closed meetings (October 3 and December 12, 2011 and January 24, 2012) and found that the matter discussed was permitted in a closed meeting. However, the Ombudsman found that Council improperly relied on the "security of the property exception" to close the December 12, 2011 and January 24, 2012 meetings and voted on a substantive matter in the January 24, 2012 closed session, contrary to the Act.
